Salt Flat Hot Rods

Have always enjoyed looking at the different types of cars that race on the slat flats but the old school hot rods/race cars are probably my favourites. The 422 coupe is possibly one of my best and most detailed pieces yet. This was the first one I completed for this project and was a big change in direction for the work that I make and post on Instagram (@streetflair) compared to the drift cars and lowriders. The car itself is much more simpler than every other car that I draw but I was able to put just as much detail into it, if not more, than cars with full interiors and liveries. The paint is also quite different to what I often do with this colour being quite flat creating a more traditional look for the car complimented with the number done in a gold leaf texture.
